Stand-up Comedy

Charlie Ottley has become a regular on the stand-up comedy circuit since he started some ten years ago.Appearing at a variety of London clubs including Crazy Eddie's, The Mutt's Nuts, the Comedy Club and Ealing Jokers, he has also performed alongside Charlie Sheen at Sean Penn's smoky Santa Monica nightclub McInerney's. Charlie and creative partner Nick Perry even launched a show entirely in verse ('Tally Ho!') at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It received praise from the critics including 9/10 from Scot FM.

Broadcasting

As well as his stand-up, Charlie is also an experienced TV and radio presenter. He recently appeared on The Travel Channel as writer and presenter for UK based travel show Weekender TV and is fronting a new series on South America this summer. In 1999 he was City bard for Carlton's weekly business programme 'Bulls & Bears' and has since become a regular guest on Radio Five's the Nicky Campbell Show as well as appearing on The Daily Politics programme. He is particularly well known in the South of England having been resident poet at BBC Radio Oxford and BBC Radio Solent and the subject of two news features and several documentaries including A Career Less Ordinary by arts programme the Pier. Charlie has also presented odes for GMTV, the Big Breakfast and the Money Channel.
